I have had so many proofs of God's loving care through Christian Science that I feel it is time I expressed gratitude for these experiences. My mother and two of my sisters had been studying this Science for a good many years, but I was too engrossed with the fleshpots, though I full intended to settle down and make a study, of it eventually.

My husband was among the first to go into the North African campaign. I went to stay with my parents while he was gone and when I reached there learned that one of my sisters had just passed on. Through the help of a consecrated practitioner we were wonderfully sustained and refreshed.

Soon I heard of my husband's whereabouts and the dangerous position his unit held, and I felt frantic, not knowing what to do; but my mother told me how to pray aright, and I went to hear a Christian Science lecture, which encouraged me in following the right path. I studied the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly daily with my mother, who helped me in every way possible to get the understanding I needed.
