About four years ago I fell and broke both my wrists. At that time I knew nothing of Christian Science; therefore I consulted a bone specialist. The bones were set and my arms placed in casts, which I wore for about two months. When the casts were removed, it was impossible for me to turn my hands over. At the end of one year I made my last visit to the specialist. He told me that I would never be able to turn my hands over, so I accepted his statement.

Then on February 11, 1947, I attended a Christian Science lecture. The lecturer delivered his message with such sincerity that it impressed me beyond words. I kept clinging to his last word, which were, "He that is perfect in knowledge is with thee" (Job 36:4). My greatest ambition was to learn the meaning of this statement, as well as others he made. The next evening I attended a Christian Science church and listened with eagerness to the testimonies of healing. As I left the church that night I took home some Sentinels, and I read them and studied passages in the Bible which were referred to in the articles. On Thursday evening I discovered that I could turn my hands over with ease. I was so amazed that I could not believe it. I thanked our heavenly Father many times for this blessing.
