It is with much gratitude that I say, "Thank You," to God for Christian Science and for the wonderful healing I had even before I took up the study of this religion. I had been having electrical treatments by a chiropractor for about eight months for what was known as a fallen stomach, and I thought I was healed, but the condition returned.

One night when I was coming home from choir, the pain was so bad that it was all I could do to walk. My sister, who had been studying Christian Science for about three months, was in the kitchen when I arrived home, and as I opened the front door, she saw me and asked what was the matter with me. I told her that my old complaint had come back. She said, "Would you like me to work for you in Christian Science?" I did not know anything about Science at the time, but I said, "Yes." So she said: "Don't worry about it; just go to bed and get a good rest. You'll be all right in the morning." In the morning I awoke feeling quite fresh. I dressed and ran downstairs and then suddenly thought. Why, I ran down those stairs! All pain was gone.

Although I was glad I was healed, I did not really know what had healed me, and I did not even ask. But a few months later I bought a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy for myself, not because of the healing, but because I wanted to know more about God. After reading it for a while, I realized what a wonderful healing I had had. Since that time, nearly seven years ago, I have had many more healings, for which I am grateful.
