I wish to add my testimony to...
I wish to add my testimony to the healing efficacy of Christian Science. I started to study this Science in 1913, at the recommendation of my wife, when I appeared home from the office one day feeling very sick. I followed her advice and was healed. Since that time I have experienced and witnessed many healings.
One I should like to mention was that of the effects of an automobile accident. The surgeons in attendance at the hospital where I was taken said that I would never be able to walk again without crutches, since I would never have over forty per cent use of my left leg; and the attorney, in his appeal to the jury at the trial which was instituted because of the carelessness on the part of a road gang in not hanging up warning lanterns, said, "This man is through." I certainly looked through, for I was on two crutches, with a strap holding up my left foot.
Through Christian Science work I discarded the crutches, and was so completely healed that when I walked into the attorney's office he was surprised and asked me if I did not know I was fighting a case in court. Suffice it to say that my healing was wonderful, and in spite of it I won the court case.
