"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name" (Ps. 103:1).

About twenty years ago my attention was first directed to Christian Science, when I was visiting a friend who lived in California. Not having the least understanding of this Science and being skeptical of the wonderful testimonies I heard, I paid no attention to it for some time; but I knew that the friend with whom I was living had something which was most desirable, a poise and peace which I realized were due to her consecration to the study of the Bible and of the writings of our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

As my visit lengthened from a brief stay to seven months, it became clear to me that this same peace was possible for anyone who applied himself to this study; and truly a revelation awaited me as with earnestness and humility I learned of a God who is ever-present Love and of man's at-one-ment with divine Principle.
