THE BRIDAL HOUR

Everyone desires freedom from political turmoil, international distrust, domestic problems, from sin, sickness, and death. And humanity today is searching for stronger and more enduring foundations upon which to build a happier and more peaceful life.

Whenever prophets have seen the truth and have imparted it to their people, it has always had a regenerating and healing influence. Over two thousand years ago Christ Jesus lightened the burdens of many of his countrymen by his understanding of God's love for His children, and his teachings continue to bless us today. Christian Science, based on the inspired teachings of the Bible, reveals completely God's true nature. This Science is the culmination of prophecy. Through its application problems of every nature are being solved, and its students are proving that God's will is "done in earth, as it is in heaven."

The method by which we may enter into the heavenly consciousness of God's goodness is illustrated by the Master's parable of the ten virgins. He said (Matt. 25:1), "Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom." The virgins needed their lamps in order to behold the bridegroom, and these lamps gave forth a bright and shining light only when they were properly filled with oil.
