For a long time I have desired to submit a testimony expressing my deep gratitude to God for Christian Science. I turned to it only for help for my husband, who had been badly hurt in a motor accident. He was taken to a hospital, and after several weeks' treatment was discharged with a disabled right arm. He then had massage for some time, with no good result. The future looked hopeless for us, because by this time our funds were gone.

We had heard of Christian Science for the first time a few months before this, and had rejected it scornfully. The friend who told us of it, hearing of our trouble, wrote to us again very lovingly, saying we would find all the help we needed if we would only turn to God and try Christian Science. In despair, we very timidly and tearfully went to a Reading Room. Loving counsel was given us, and a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was lent to us, with other authorized literature. We read and studied very earnestly, and found so much help and encouragement that we also applied to a practitioner for help. She very lovingly explained the truth to us and lifted our thoughts above the belief of life in matter. My husband was able to resume work in three weeks, and to carry on successfully until the time for retirement came.

This was our start on the way that leads to all joy. Many have been the healings in our home sitce then, some of which are those of acute influenza, severe headaches, kidney trouble, and many difficulties the names of which we do not know. Lameness which had deformed our boy was healed the second Sunday he attended the Christian Science Sunday School. I have had the joy of witnessing many healings, including two cases of mental surgery.

For work in a Christian Science Society; for membership in The Mother Church; for class instruction; for Mrs. Eddy, who so lovingly gave us this divine enlightenment concerning our Master's words and works; for the authorized Christian Science literature, including our Hymnal, I am deeply grateful.—(Mrs.) Annie Gillespie, Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland.

I am the person mentioned in the foregoing testimony and gratefully endorse all the statements therein. I have had many healings since that first one almost sixteen years ago. Christian Science has met our every need and brought joy, peace, and abundance into our lives.

I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a Christian Science Society, for class instruction, and for the privilege of service in church activities.
