ANSWERED PRAYER
We
would be free,
Earth's burdened mortals cry.
Then lift winged thought
Above false trammels
To that spiritual realm
Where order rules.
Where man's activity
Is limitless as he
Reflects unceasingly
Illimitable Mind!
We would be whole!
Comes angel-borne reply:
True prayer will serve
To loose the fetters
Of disease and sin
And fear of death.
Your heritage is health:
In God, then, live and move
And, by reflection, prove
Omnipotence of Truth!
We would be safe!
God is your strong ally.
Accept His promise
And abide within
That serene dwelling place
Where fears dissolve
Before His presence:
Where being, permanent, secure,
Reflects the beauty, calm and pure.
Of omnipresent Love.
