Action expresses more gratitude...

"Action expresses more gratitude than speech." These words by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy (Science and Health, p. 3), prompt me to write this testimony.

I first heard of Christian Science many years ago, and I remember the great joy I experienced when after a few days' study of our textbook I glimpsed the truth that God is my Life, I felt as if I were on the very peak of the mountain of inspiration. However, I had to learn that a temptation to believe in evil is not overcome without continual study and daily application of the truth. How much I owe to those practitioners who so lovingly helped me to take my first footsteps in the straight and narrow way of Truth!

A few years ago, when we were living on a farm about five hundred miles to the north of Buenos Aires, my children were stricken with the first symptoms of infantile paralysis, an epidemic which was then prevalent in the near-by village. I immediately telegraphed to a Christian Science practitioner, and in a few days they all were completely healed.
