Before I became interested in Christian Science, I had made a fruitless search for a satisfying religion. I did not believe in God, and rejected the teachings in the Bible as impracticable in this age. Such an attitude was united with depressing thoughts, and I never enjoyed good health. Then on the advice of a friend I secured and read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and read the Bible in the light of this book. Healing followed, for I had found God.

Some physical ailments disappeared slowly, others instantaneously. Bowel and kidney trouble, whooping cough, influenza, and fractured ribs were healed in Christian Science. Quinsy, which had caused periodic suffering, was instantaneously and permanently destroyed. Another quick healing occurred when I was away from home in the midst of strangers. One of my arms had become useless. Since the abnormal condition did not yield to my understanding of Truth, I called on a practitioner for help. After a brief treatment, which was concluded by our repeating aloud the Lord's Prayer, I was healed.

These are only a few of the healings which I have had in Christian Science. My spiritual development is continuing, and undesirable traits are disappearing. A clearer realization of the meaning of gratitude is helping me to obtain a better understanding of the presence of God, of the teachings of Jesus, and of the unselfish, consecrated work of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of this Science.— (Mrs.) Fay Wendte Keller, Monrovia, California.
