TRUTH ALWAYS TRIUMPHANT
Truth is always triumphant, for Truth is God; its omnipotence annuls the claim of evil to power, causation, and jurisdiction. God, immortal Truth, is All. Such is the scientific ultimate, the grand verity of Christian Science. The invincibility of Truth is based upon the fact that the one infinite God can have no opposite. There is no truth apart from God and His idea, man and the universe; and Science reveals man, the immortal idea of Truth, to human thought as wholly spiritual and perfect, the expression of infinite Mind. This eternal fact is the basis of scientific healing.
In Christian Science practice the student does not attempt to heal or save God's already perfect man. On the contrary, he utilizes his understanding of man as the expression, of Truth, all-powerful and supreme, to destroy the false belief that man lives in a material body, is a sick or sinful mortal, the manifestation of failure, decrepitude, or fear. Healing inevitably follows this recognition of spiritual being.
Mary Baker Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 380), "Truth is always the victor." Note that the victory is not ours, but God's. Truth's triumph is the fact of God's absolute power and supremacy. Thus, whether human thought comprehends it or not, error is impotent and Truth is invincible. Our endeavors to apprehend and adhere to these verities of Christian Science are essentially for the purpose of arousing human consciousness to the realization of the powerlessness, the unreality, of evil and the all-power of Soul. The student of this Science recognizes the arguments of the so-called carnal mind, which would separate him from this paramount realization. Armed with the understanding of the omnipotence of 'Truth, he is able to prove the impotence of error to accomplish anything.
