Over twelve years ago, a relative living with us attended a Christian Science lecture and later borrowed a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. This he put on a table in our lounge. Wondering what it was I picked it up and read a few lines, and instantly felt it was the truth.

At this time my health was in a serious state, and I was overburdened with a false sense of personal responsibility for the upkeep of our home. For nearly twelve months I read a few pages daily, though still attending an orthodox church. Then I had the desire to attend a Christian Science church to see if the teachings of its Discoverer and Founder were still being adhered to. I found that through divine revelation Mrs. Eddy had fully protected her church and her teachings through the Manual of The Mother Church. I at once commenced to study the Lesson-Sermon as given in the Christian Science Quarterly, which was lovingly offered me by the librarian at the Reading Room when I called to purchase a copy of Science and Health; and since that time my life has been completely transformed. I have been healed, through the work of a practitioner, of fainting spells which had persisted since childhood, and my health has become normal. I have gained a better sense of supply, and our home is more orderly and harmonious. I am very grateful for the deeper understanding I have gained of God, and man as His reflection, and for the fact that unpleasant traits of character are diminishing.

Since I came into Christian Science our three children have been born and are all attending the Sunday School. I am most grateful to divine Love that my husband has given his permission for them to be brought up in this wonderful religion, and has done much to assist us to be in our right place on Sundays. The children have enjoyed exceptionally good health, and any ailments have been quickly overcome either with the help of a practitioner or through my own understanding. Christian Science is a great help to them in their schoolwork, and they readily accept the truth that because man reflects Mind they have the ability to do whatever is required of them.
