Love's Blessing
"Speak
, Master, that my brother may divide
His bountiful inheritance with me."
These words ask not for Love's security,
And Jesus, hearing such request, applied
A stern rebuke to greed, putting aside
Abundant things as Life's reality,
Then showing just how simple it can be
To seek God first and find all needs supplied.
Good comes from Spirit, not from mortal man,
The holy Word affirms. It lies within
Each heart to know this truth and so express
The goodness, universal in His plan,
That heals all lack with Love, for lack is sin.
To have what blesses, simply means to bless.
