It is with gratitude that I write this testimony of healing. My desire in sending it to be published is that it may help another as I have been helped by the testimonies appearing in both The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel, and by those appearing in the last one hundred pages of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I have also been greatly helped by the testimonies that I have heard given at Wednesday evening meetings.

I am deeply grateful to the practitioner who worked so earnestly to lift my thought out of matter, with all its false beliefs of suffering, into the realm of right, scientific thinking.

Since childhood I had suffered from many physical disorders, such as stomach trouble, chronic constipation, bowel trouble, a painful condition of the gall bladder, and constant sick headaches. The headaches were so severe that many nights I had to sit upright in bed to relieve the pain somewhat. Doctors claimed that my female organs were underdeveloped and therefore could not function properly. This condition caused me to suffer continually from backache and dry skin. Some of the best specialists failed to offer any relief. I had submitted to two major operations, used aspirin daily, and was on a strict diet, never being able to enjoy my food. Truly I was weary of life as I knew it. Only after many forms of medicine had been tried and proved useless was I willing to turn to Christian Science wholeheartedly.
