The Christian Science Publishing Society has for several years experienced the same heavy increases in wage, paper, and other production costs common to the publishing industry, and must now reluctantly make effective its first increases in subscription rates in many years.

Our readers are familiar with the increases which have been made effective generally by newspapers and magazines in recent months.

Effective March 1, the annual subscription rate for The Christian Science Monitor will be increased from $12.00 to $14.00 per year. The rate for six months will be $7.00; for three months, $3.50; and for one month, $1.20.
