It brings me joy to write of all Christian Science has meant to me for many years. When I was a child, my aunt took me to Christian Science church services. This was before the Lesson-Sermons had been established. When I became older, I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I am thankful that I could accept it as the truth.

From 1909 to 1918 it was my privilege to serve as librarian of a Christian Science Reading Room. I am grateful that during this time it was never necessary for me to be absent because of any physical trouble. I recall that one day, while on duty at the Reading Room, I suffered severe pain, and fear of ptomaine poisoning presented itself. I opened Science and Health to page 492 and read, "Being is holiness, harmony, immortality." A great sense of peace and harmony followed, and I was healed.

Each proof of our understanding of Christian Science brings much gratitude, and the divine potency of Truth has been demonstrated in instantaneous healings for myself and others in our family. My husband, when a young man, was healed of a nervous difficulty and also of stomach trouble. We are both glad that Science came to us when we were young, and for over forty years we have experienced the blessings it brings in physical healings, happiness, and spiritual understanding.
