From the Directors

In view of the steady expansion of the use of the radio, including The Mother Church religious broadcasts and "The Christian Science Monitor Views the News," and the constant demand for further extension in this field of activity. The Mother Church has established a Radio Fund which will provide individual Christian Scientists, branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, and Christian Science Societies an opportunity to participate in this work by contributing to the Fund. Donations should be designated for the "Radio Fund" and sent to Roy Garrett Watson, Treasurer, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.

Membership in The Mother Church and True Happiness

Onpage 57 of her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes: "Happiness is spiritual, born of Truth and Love. It is unselfish; therefore it cannot exist alone, but requires all mankind to share it."

Not content merely to point the way to happiness, Mrs. Eddy provided ways of gaining it. One of these is membership in The Mother Church. Membership is a summons to place less emphasis upon selfish interests and to give more thought, to the great work of sharing with all mankind the secret of true and lasting happiness.

Those who believe in Christian Science according to the platform and teaching found in the Christian Science textbook (see Manual, Art. IV, Sect. 1) may apply for membership in The Mother Church.

Application blanks and any other information concerning membership may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from clerks of branch churches and societies, from Christian Science practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal, or from Cordon V. Comer, Clerk of The Mother Church, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.
