Often during the dark hours of world history, great leaders have appeared and issued to their peoples stirring commands, spirited injunctions, inspiring men to deeds of heroism, unity of action, or uncomplaining self-abnegation.
As the new year approaches, mortal mind is busy with many figures; inventories are being taken, profit and loss are being calculated, books are being closed, and symbolically, as literally a new page is being turned.
In view of the steady expansion of the use of the radio, including The Mother Church religious broadcasts and "The Christian Science Monitor Views the News," and the constant demand for further extension in this field of activity.

It is with sincere gratitude and love for Christian Science, for the joy it has brought into my life, and for the many blessings I have received through the study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, that I am writing this testimony, long overdue.
