HUMAN YIELDING
Mankind
will have Gethsemane
In one way or another
Till willingly they do God's will
And trust the Father-Mother.
Love chastens to obedience;
We walk beneath the rod.
The cup of bitterness we drain
And learn to wait on God.
Not where we choose or what we will,
But where He gently leads us.
We take the cross, go forth to watch
And work where Love most needs us.
And thus we stand on hallowed ground,
Lift up our troubled hearts.
Surrender self and find the joy
That Soul alone imparts.
We never leave God's tender care;
The universe is His.
The purified awake to know
Man lives because God is.
