NOT TIME, BUT ETERNITY
Man in his true stature, the image and likeness of God, lives throughout eternity. His life has no beginning and no end. His existence is untouched by the human elements of time, age, discord, and death. His senses are spiritual and intact. Created by God and at one with Him, he lives by divine authority and unfolds in wisdom, grandeur, and harmony.
The way of eternal life was shown humanity by our Master, Christ Jesus, in his resurrection and ascension. His mission was to show his followers in all time that they have access to eternal Life through the law of God, the law formulated by Paul in his letter to the Romans (8:2), "The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
Today we can understand the truth which Christ Jesus taught through the Comforter which he promised would come. This Comforter is Christian Science, which heralds anew the coming of the Christ in human experience and calls mankind to awaken from the dream of material living to their true stature in Spirit—to ascend into the understanding of eternal Life. In "Pulpit and Press" (p. 4) Mary Baker Eddy writes: "Who lives in good, lives also in God,— lives in all Life, through all space. His is an individual kingdom, his diadem a crown of crowns, His existence is deathless, forever unfolding its eternal Principle."
