It is with joy and gratitude that I give this testimony. My wife and I took up the study of Christian Science in 1936. For several years prior to this time my wife had been under the care of a doctor who, although he was faithful and did all he could, admitted the last time he gave a prescription that it would give only temporary relief. We both had had the thought for some time that we should like to take up the study of Christian Science, but we felt that we could not give up materia medica.

After we had borrowed a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, read a few pages, and had help from a practitioner, we were both completely healed of the desire to take medicine. From that time no medicine of any kind has been used by any member of our family, for ourselves or our two children.

I am most grateful for my wife's healing and for another healing, which followed about three months' study of this great truth. I was instantaneously healed of the smoking habit, which had held me in bondage for over twenty-five years.
