I am happy to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. I was searching for a better understanding of God when this truth was presented to me, and I found in it what no other church offered.

About two years ago I stumbled and fell down the back steps of our home. I tried to realize that "under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 424). In a little while I was able to get up and walk, but I noticed a pain in my side which sometimes affected my breathing. It felt as if I had broken a rib.

After two weeks the condition was not relieved, and my family insisted that I get help. That evening I called in turn three practitioners, but could not reach any of them. Then the thought came to me, and I recognized it as an angel message: "Why, you are calling to ask whether an X ray would be advisable. If you believe you need an X ray, then you believe a rib is broken. You are looking for defects instead of perfection." This line of reasoning changed my whole attitude.
