Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

We find that the press has been friendly to our Cause and, while we have not received full lecture reports, we have been allowed from one thousand to fifteen hundred word excerpts for the lectures given in the Field.

Lesson-Sermon excerpts have been sent weekly to fourteen papers and special notices to three. Reprints of the Annual Meeting report of The Mother Church were given favorable comments, as were the Thanksgiving Day service, the V-E Day special service, and the announcements of V-J Day and memorial service. Twelve editors accepted The Christian Science Monitor plan of subscription for advertising, and all speak very highly of our paper and are always willing and eager to accept this offer, claiming they need the Monitor on their desks for reference work.

No comments have arisen needing correction in our local papers. Monitor reprints by state papers have been generously given, with due credit.

In Nevada three talks were given by the Committee to branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, at Reno, Carson City, and Winnemucca.
