I Have Today
I have
today, my Father, all of now
In which to know Thy presence and Thy power,
To cease lament for lost and fruitless hour.
Eternity no past wears on her brow:
Now is the never-shadowed time of light
In which to humbly seek and so find Thee
At hand to bless and restore harmony
And feel the warmth of Thy all-loving might.
I have today, my Father, Thine own day
In which to love away hate's causeless lure
And make each motive of my heart more pure;
There is no night where sin has passed away.
I have today, my Father, ever here.
In which to let Thy radiancy appear.
