Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Johnstown. Pennsylvania (First Church).

Regular morning services on Sunday. September 30, 1945, marked the dedication of First Church of Christ. Scientist, Johnstown. The service was repeated in the evening.

A brief history of the Christian Science movement in Johnstown was given by the First Reader, who said that a church was organized here on April 7, 1901. The first public lecture was given in the fall of that year in the Johnstown Opera House.
