I am glad to express my deep appreciation for Christian Science, for the loving, unselfish life and work of our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and for the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," written by her.

In the one hundred and third Psalm we read, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases." Over a period of eighteen years I have proved many times the truth of these words through the study of Science and the application of its rules, the spiritual laws of divine Principle, God. My prayers have been answered when I have turned to Him with a humble, childlike faith and trust in His willingness, ability, and power to heal us, knowing that He is our loving Father-Mother.

I am so grateful for the understanding that God is Love, and that we reflect or express this divine Love in our daily activities through such qualities as loving-kindness, thoughtfulness, unselfishness, usefulness, health, and activity. I am grateful that Christian Science is teaching me to love my neighbor as myself, to do unto him as I would want him to do unto me to see him as God made him, and to reflect God's love to him. Jesus taught a life of love, and lie is our example. He also said (John 8:32), "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." By clinging persistently to the truth that I am, in reality. God's perfect child, made in His image and likeness, spiritual and not material. I was freed from a severe form of nervous prostration.
