Christian Science has been the...
Christian Science has been the greatest blessing that has come into my life. The study and application of the wonderful Christ, Truth, has brought into my experience health, employment, supply, happiness, and harmony.
One of my first healings was that of the tobacco habit. I had tried many times unsuccessfully to stop the use of tobacco by will power. The desire for it left me the first time I attended a Christian Science lecture, and it has never returned.
My next outstanding experience involved employment. A job as a laborer in the basement of a warehouse had become intolerable. After discussing this problem with a Christian Science practitioner, I was requested to study the twenty-eighth chapter of Deuteronomy (verses 1-14). The next evening I received a telephone call from a man who had been trying to locate me all day. I had applied for a position with him over a year previous to this time, and now it seemed my services were just the ones he needed. Within a week I was working for him in an office high above the ground, as the head of a department. This literally fulfilled the promise given in one of the references studied (Deut. 28: 13). "And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath."
