May I express gratitude for...
May I express gratitude for what Christian Science and some of its many activities meant to me while serving our country in the United States Marine Corps?
The training I received while in the Christian Science Sunday School and while serving as an usher and on the Literature Distribution Committee of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, was needed and put to practical use during my eighteen months' service in the Marines.
I enlisted knowing that with the understanding of Christian Science that had been unfolded to me, I could not fear death, because I knew the unreality of it.
