"I will trust, and not be afraid"

Complete trust in God enables one immediately to gain whatever is needed for his welfare. Thought wholly employed in trusting God leaves no wrong thinking in consciousness, and it then becomes possible to discern and prove that good is ever present and instantly available.

Most people believe that if one had sufficient faith in God he could accomplish any right thing, but how to attain this faith is the problem. Like all right accomplishments, faith must be gained by starting from a right premise. When it is understood that man is in a degree as perfect as his creator, and is inseparable from Him, reflecting all His qualities, one sees that faith is a blessing which is already his. But it must be recognized as his and used instantly to destroy any suggestion of evil with which one may be threatened.

A Christian Scientist who had just moved into a new home, one day heard a heavy crash. Looking out of the window she saw that a workman who had been cleaning the windows had fallen from an upper floor onto the pavement below. She was alone in the house and for a moment intense fear gripped her and she was tempted to call someone for help, as the man appeared lifeless.
