The Star of Peace

NELLIE TOMPKINS

A bright and shining star is peace.
From anger's sway it brings release
And leads us to that holy place
Where we may see our brother's face
As Jacob did when Esau came
To bid him welcome: gone the blame,
For they had spoken heart to heart,
And each one saw Love's counterpart.
