I am grateful to God for the many proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science which I have witnessed since taking up its study.

Six years ago, after praying daily to be delivered from an inharmonious position, I was divinely led to work in the home of a schoolteacher who is a Christian Scientist. I was amazed at the love, kindness, and consideration that were extended to me, and the harmonious condition of the home hen I had been there two weeks I started reading her Science books, because the thought came to me, Maybe these books are what make her different from anyone else I have known. I read the books without her knowledge, fearing she might not approve.

As a result of this reading, I was healed, in a little over two months, of chronic constipation and a lifelong habit which I thought had been inherited. I greatly desired to attend a Christian Science church service, and did so one Sunday evening. The next morning I told my employer that I had attended a Christian Science service and that I had been reading her books. She told me I was quite welcome to read them, and instructed her eight-year-old son to show me how to study the Lesson-Sermon when he got home from school that afternoon. Ordinarily he came home at three-thirty, but that afternoon he arrived at five minutes past three, breathless, for he had run all the way home in his eagerness to show me how to study the Lesson-Sermon.
