I have so often been benefited during the last ten years by the testimonies in our periodicals that I should like to add my hymn of praise to our beloved Father-Mother God for the good received through the study of Christian Science.

Since taking up its study I have striven to be actively about the Father's business, reflecting love, kindness, friendliness, and other good and perfect qualities of God, Spirit, Mind, and to advance in spiritual understanding. This striving has brought me innumerable blessings, greatest of which are a better understanding of God and the unspeakable peace and joy which this understanding brings.

I have been in the Navy for over two years now, and during this time Christian Science has been of inestimable help to me. At one time during a voyage at sea I was cut deeply across the top and back of my head and across my back in an accident. I immediately declared mentally that I was not hurt, as Mrs. Eddy instructs us on page 397 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Understanding that as the perfect, spiritual idea of divine Mind I could experience only peace, harmony, and serenity, and that because accidents are not known to God they cannot be known to His image and likeness, I settled down with my books to study the Lesson-Sermon. My head ached painfully, but by the time I had completed two sections of the Lesson the aching vanished, and I was completely free from the effects of the accident. I suffered no further inconvenience from it, and the wounds healed very quickly.
