My heart overflows with gratitude...

My heart overflows with gratitude to God for His wonderful gift of Christian Science to mankind. During the past twenty-two years we have had many proofs of His protecting care in our home, for which I am very grateful.

Christian Science found me in a grief-stricken state over the passing on of a dear one, who met with a tragic death. I was left alone with two small children to care for and support. This seemed impossible at the time. I felt very alone in the world and the way seemed dark and hopeless. A dear friend offered me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, saying it would heal me. I had not read very far before I realized that Christian Science was the truth for which I had been searching. I had attended an orthodox church from childhood, but it had not met my needs. After reading the textbook for a short time I was completely healed of sorrow and sickness.

We have had many healings since that time. Various so-called children's diseases, grippe, abscessed ears, burns, inflammatory rheumatism, sprained ankle, colds, and fevers were proved powerless through Christian Science. An infected foot was healed overnight. I have also been able to overcome self-consciousness.
