Out of deep gratitude to God for the many blessings Christian Science has brought me I give the following testimony. My first healing, which was of the smoking habit of fifty years' standing, was brought about instantaneously through the reading from the desk in a branch church. A throat and chest trouble which had lasted for twenty-five years, was also healed instantaneously by the help of a practitioner. I was healed of rheumatism through Christian Science in twenty-four hours, after being in bondage for twenty-five years. My last healing was of double hernia. I thank our Father-Mother God for all these healings.

My wife had a complete healing of stomach trouble, for which I must also express my gratitude. It was a very severe case, but through the steadfast declaration of the truth it disappeared and has never returned. I am grateful for the healing of two grandchildren, one of scarlet fever and the other of gangrene, by absent treatment from a practitioner.

My gratitude is unlimited to Mary Baker Eddy for her patient and unselfish efforts in giving us this teaching of our oneness with God, and to the practitioners who are ever ready to help. I am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church and for the opportunity of serving the Cause of Christian Science even in a small way.— Daniel Claughan, Sunderland, Durham, England.
