For a long time I have wanted...
For a long time I have wanted to add my testimony to the many voices raised in behalf of the healing power of Christian Science.
My mother began the study of this Science when I was four years of age. We lived in a small mountain town, where there were but one or two other persons interested in Christian Science, and there was no Sunday school. As a girl, if I suffered a slight indication of illness, my mother's understanding of Science was always adequate to correct the situation, and her treatments frequently resulted in instantaneous healing. So, while I never repudiated Christian Science, neither did I study it until I had grown to womanhood and was away from home.
There came a time then when I found that if I read even a little in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy my days passed smoothly. When I did no reading, problems of one kind or another occurred. That aroused me to mental effort and I began to study Christian Science for myself more earnestly.
