"Safe in Science"
"Temper
every trembling footfall,
Till they gain at last—
Safe in Science, bright with glory—
Just the way Thou hast."
These words from a poem entitled "To the Sunday School Children," written by the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy (Poems, p. 43), bespeak her deep concern for the children's safety, which she knew a spiritual understanding of the Scriptures alone could give.
