Our Right to be Healed by God

Disraeli once said, "The health of the people is really the foundation upon which all their happiness and all their powers as a State depend." No argument is needed to convince us that health of mind and body is most essential to a harmonious life. Health means wholeness.

Jesus spent a large part of his brief ministry showing men that God's law understood produces health, destroys disease. The Master made it plain that every individual may prove this. How? By thinking understandingly of God in the way he did. He thought of God and man as Father and son, Mind and its idea. The early Christians so thought and so healed, before material thinking obscured the purity and power of the Christ-teaching.

Christian Science is here to bring to our remembrance the import of Jesus' words and acts, to show us that the natural way to health and wholeness is to be found in the way he taught, through an understanding of man as God's son, or expression, reflecting and possessing the very health that characterizes God.
