I desire to express gratitude to God through the periodicals for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and the discovery of Christian Science as she has found it and given it to all mankind. The efficacy of the healing power of the Christ, Truth, I have proved in my own experience.

After two major operations, one abdominal, the other for hernia, I was left in a helpless state. To medical science I was a hopeless case, unable to move about without great difficulty, when Christian Science was presented to me by a practitioner.

I purchased Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and began reading it. The suggestion came, Well, it will fail the way everything else has done. Just then, however, I heard the "still small voice" of Truth saying, in the words of the prophet Isaiah, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." The healing came. I was able to walk again in perfect freedom, after being unable to do this for six years, and I have continued to walk joyously with Love for the past twelve years.
