It is with a very grateful heart...
It is with a very grateful heart that I write this testimony. It is now eight years since I first became interested in Christian Science. I owe a debt of gratitude to those members of our family who first introduced Christian Science to me, for in it I have surely found the "pearl of great price."
Though I took up the study not for any physical healing but to learn more of God and my relationship to Him, I have had many healings, mental and physical, some through the understanding of the truth as revealed to me in my study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, some with the help of practitioners, for all of which I am indeed grateful.
A very joyous experience and demonstration was one of supply. For a considerable time I had a desire for class instruction, but lack of funds hindered me from taking the necessary steps. The desire became so keen that I decided to do my part and leave the rest to God, and know that if it were right for me to have it, the means would be available at the right time. However, with only a few days to go, I had very little towards it. I lay awake one night working on the problem, but could not find a satisfactory solution. Then I seemed to hear a voice saying, "Love never faileth." I immediately grasped the truth of this, and, saying to myself, "No, Love has never failed me," I settled down to sleep quite peacefully. The next morning on going to the letter box I found a letter telling me I was entitled to collect a sum of money, the amount of which was sufficient to meet my need. I shall never cease to be grateful for this experience.
