Christian Science Rest Rooms and Servicemen's Centers
An airman entering a Christian Science Rest Room for the first time, after looking round inquiringly, said: "One can feel the spiritual atmosphere of this place. No one can come in here without feeling better for it."
What a glorious opportunity Christian Scientists have at the present hour of so lifting up the Christ in their thought, living and demonstrating the beautiful truths of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, that they draw all men unto them! Never has the need been greater and the time more opportune than now for holding the doors wide open so that all may enjoy in these Rest Rooms the support, substance, and comfort of Spirit.
A world weary and sad, with "men's hearts failing them for fear" at sin's uncovering, needs comfort and encouragement. When nation is rising against nation and "kingdom against kingdom," as Jesus foresaw, it is good to remember his words. "When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
