Time and again I have found help in a testimony in the Sentinel, and I write this in the hope that it will help someone else.

Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health, p. 66), "Through great tribulation we enter the kingdom," has been proved true in my case, for I did not come easily or willingly to Science. Christian Science was first called to my attention about fourteen years ago as the solution to a problem of lack of harmony in my life. The problem was solved with the help of a practitioner, and for a time I studied faithfully. With things running smoothly again, in time I began to neglect my study. Soon I was living a material life, church and study laid aside.

One day my fifteen-year-old son came home from school during an epidemic of mumps, and in accordance with health requirements a doctor was called. He informed us that meningitis had set in. I lost no time in sending word to a Christian Science practitioner. The boy's recovery was rapid, in spite of the fact that he had lost thirty pounds during the illness. He had no medical treatment.
