Replies to Comments on Christian Science Appearing in the Press

Because the statement in your recent issue that "only Christian Scientists believe that beautiful thought can cure illness" is somewhat misleading to your readers regarding the teachings of Christian Science, I would ask you, of your courtesy, for space in your journal for this correction.
Christian Science presents the truth of being to its students and exhorts them to think in accordance therewith. Then sickness will become as unreal to them as it was to Christ Jesus, who revealed this scientific truth. Jesus of Nazareth told his followers that those who continue in his word "shall know the truth, and the truth shall make [them] free." Christian Science is as far removed from wishful thinking as is the science of mathematics from errors in computation.
