It is a privilege to acknowledge the great benefits which have come to me through Christian Science. It is now more than twenty-eight years since I first began the study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Through the healing of a friend, I became interested in Christian Science to the degree that I wanted to attend the church services.

In the summer of 1916 I became very ill with a stomach disorder. The physician, called by my parents, claimed that it could only be helped by an operation, without which I would not live the year out. It was at this time, while I was submitting to a rigid physical examination, that the friend already mentioned reminded me that I could be healed in Christian Science—that I knew the way, why did I not walk in it? I returned to my home and began the study of the textbook. At once a great improvement was noticed. All material means were dismissed, and the healing was soon complete. Within the year I was in perfect health, and have never had a return of this condition.

From early childhood I had been subject to attacks of tonsillitis which I experienced once or twice a year. In the winter of 1919 this ailment presented itself to me, and through the reading of our Lesson-Sermons from the Christian Science Quarterly I was immediately healed and have never had a return of the difficulty.
