To testify to healing in Christian Science...

To testify to healing in Christian Science is not only publicly to declare gratitude for the blessings one has received from this Science, but it is to obey Jesus' command, at least in a degree, to go "into all the world, and preach the gospel." With many other students of Christian Science, I join in expressing my gratitude to God for the blessings received from its healing efficacy.

Some four years or so ago, my physician recommended an operation in order that I might escape what he termed inevitably fatal results from a physical condition then threatening. I decided instead to visit a Christian Science practitioner. This visit was made on the following day, and the wisdom of my choice was proved by an instantaneous healing of the condition. Shortly after this experience there followed the release from the bondage of the tobacco habit, which I had indulged constantly for over fifty years. Soon the occasional use of liquor was likewise abandoned, and the way was made clear for me to become a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church. I also desire to express my deepest gratitude for the prompt cure of our eldest son of complete paralysis of the lower limbs, a partially paralyzed arm, and the left side of his face; also, for our younger son's healing of a condition that had the symptoms of acute appendicitis, in the same year.

In all the experiences I have related, cures were effected solely through the aid of consecrated Christian Science practitioners. I cannot adequately express the gratitude I feel for their loving, unselfish ministrations; gratitude to God that I have found the true Christ, and to Mary Baker Eddy, the beloved Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.— Gustave A. Casavant, Chicago, Illinois.
