Excerpts from Letters Concerning Christian Science Wartime Activities
[From an American Soldier in Britain]
I could not go through another day without thanking God for giving me all the things I need. My Christian Science books and the Bible are the most precious things I own. They are my real companions. There are no churches on or near my station, so one of the chaplains permitted me to conduct a regular Christian Science service. Last Sunday there were two men present, but today there were seven. This experience has given me more joy than anything that has ever come into my life.
I am very grateful for the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church.
