Thirty years ago I became interested...

Thirty years ago I became interested in Christian Science through the healing of my husband of kidney trouble of many years' standing. A friend who had been healed of gallstones introduced us to Science and Health by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and the study of that precious book restored my husband's health in a comparatively short time.

The joy of that healing gave me the "pearl of great price," and I desired to learn more about such healing work. Every day is filled with gratitude for serving in our beloved Cause, which has become very dear to me. I am grateful for the bountiful supply of helpful literature our Leader's wisdom has provided for our spiritual growth.

In the year 1910 a blood vessel broke in my right leg. At first I was fearful, but I opened Science and Health to where Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 410): "Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger. The more difficult seems the material condition to be overcome by Spirit, the stronger should be our faith and the purer our love." Through the inspiration gained from that passage and the help received from a practitioner, in five treatments the difficulty was overcome.

I am sincerely grateful for the physical healings which result from the application of the truth taught in Christian Science. I am thankful for the God-inspired New England woman, Mary Baker Eddy, who so earnestly worked to make clear in this age the spiritual truth which guides us into the path of righteousness our blessed Way-shower pointed out—the way of Life, Truth, and Love.

I am grateful for class instruction, which has greatly enlarged my understanding of God and my relationship to Him; I am grateful also for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church.—(Mrs.) Louise Sandborn, Los Angeles, California.
