As unto God

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
I Corinthians 10:31

How may I best show forth His praise today
Whose law is my delight, my sure foundation;
How shall I share the joys of liberation
From sin and sickness, found through Spirit's way?
How can I help him trust who doubts God's care,
Or comfort him whose eyes are dim with weeping;
How can I rouse the careless one, still sleeping,
While nations plead for steadfast work and prayer?

With grateful heart let me perform each duty
As unto God; thus to my brother man
Will faith and loving works reveal the beauty,
The satisfying rightness, of God's plan.
If Christly thoughts and deeds perfect the days,
The very air will then be sweet with praise.
