I became interested in Christian Science...

I became interested in Christian Science about eight years ago. My mother passed on very soon afterwards, and I now know what Jesus meant when he said, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter."

When I was a child I suffered from what is known in the medical profession as nervous heart. I was told I should never be any better. The fear increased so much that in later years I could not even cross the roads by myself. A Christian Scientist, whom I now have the privilege of calling my friend, became interested in me, and started taking me in her car to the Christian Science church services. Gradually I was encouraged to go for short walks by myself, until finally I found I was able to go to the services unaided.

I am very grateful for the help which Christian Science has given me in solving the various problems that I have had to face. I am also grateful to the practitioner who so lovingly helped me; to the many friends who encouraged me to go forward; also for membership in a branch church. I am now living away from home and do not know what I should have done without the aid of Christian Science and kind friends.—(Miss) Gertrude V. Booth, Harrow, Middlesex, England.
