About four years ago our little daughter had a wonderful healing in Christian Science. She became ill, but my husband and I did not think it was serious. When she did not get better, indeed seemed to be getting worse, we had her examined by a physician, who told us that we had a very sick child. He said that her appendix had been ruptured and gangrene had set in; and he urged an operation as quickly as possible. After a consultation between two doctors, who seemed to have little hope of the child's recovery, my husband and I both decided to try Christian Science. I went at once to a neighbor's home and called a practitioner, who said that she would begin to work immediately. This was one o'clock in the afternoon, and the child was in intense pain until two o'clock the following morning, when she fell asleep. A few hours later she awoke, completely healed.

Before this healing I had read the Christian Science periodicals but had never become deeply interested. We are very grateful for this healing, for the loving help of the practitioner, for all the Christian Science literature, and for membership in a branch church.—(Mrs.) Carrie A.
