The Sign of Truth

Have you not heard the promises that God has made to man,
And praised Him for the wisdom of His enduring plan?
Have you not seen the working of the power that is Love,
And been aware of harmony descending like a dove?
This is the hour when we must seek the signs of Truth to see;
Such times as these Jesus foresaw, and told in prophecy.
The Father's love and promises are with us as of old;
We must not falter, fear, or doubt, but stand as we are told:
With armor girt about us, our feet with gospel shod,
Our breastplate shining brightly, our shield of faith in God,
Our helmet of salvation, and Spirit's sharpest sword,
With prayer of supplication that all may know the Lord.
For we are now ambassadors, to speak as we should speak;
Then turn to God and wait on Him, no other peace to seek.
